Kate Middleton and Prince William Celebrate Easter with Her Family, Skipping Royal Traditions

On Easter Sunday 2025, Prince William and Princess Kate chose to spend the holiday privately with Kate’s parents, Carole and Michael Middleton, at Anmer Hall in Norfolk, rather than attending the traditional royal family gathering at Windsor Castle. They were accompanied by their three children—Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis—and attended an Easter service at St. Mary Magdalene Church in Sandringham, a location traditionally associated with the royal family’s Christmas celebrations.

This marks the second consecutive year the couple has opted out of the royal Easter service. Last year, their absence was due to Princess Kate’s cancer treatment. This year, the family decided on a quiet break before the children return to school, emphasizing time with their children over formal royal duties

While King Charles reportedly supported their decision, some palace insiders described the move as controversial, with some viewing it as a deliberate break from royal tradition and a potential snub.
